Happy Thursday!

Almost one month since I started Insanity.
I'm going to admit, I was lazy.
I was always pumped to do the workout but I would procrastinate and find other important things to do around the house.
In all, I got to day 5! I'm so disappointed in myself.

Some bad news;
Sunday morning, I was woken up by a sharp pain.
I've dealt with this pain all week until today. I went to the doctor, and after spending all day in the hospital, I need surgery!
I'll be keeping a low profile for the weekend, and come Monday April 30, I will be in surgery to remove my gal bladder.
If all goes well, I should be back within a few days. If not, could be a week or two until I'm up and jogging again.
Everyone keeps telling me to calm down, it's a simple procedure etc etc, but it's my first surgery, I'm allowed to be nervous.

Insanity!

3-26-2012, I weighed myself in at 205.
Today I did the fit test for Insanity.
For those of you that don't know, Insanity is a 60 day program designed to kick your butt!
Basically you're working out at full intensity with small breaks in between, instead of the typical low energy with bursts of high intensity.
After just doing the first day, I can already agree that Insanity really isn't for the weak of heart. You really need to dig deep if you want to see what you want.
With my asthma, today was difficult, but I'm willing to stick it out until the end.
I want to see how Insanity benefits me! (lol)

Insanity seems to be the perfect fit at the moment. In just about 2 months, everybody will be in their short shorts and tank tops. Why shouldn't I give this program a shot and join everybody else in the hot, humid weather!?

So here I go. Day one, 205 pounds.
[not an ideal picture, but you get the idea.. I'll get a better pic up soon.]

1 month!

I can't believe it's been over a month since my last post! Well, actually, yes I can. I forgot which gmail i used for this blog so I pretty much threw it into the closet to forget about.

Happy Valentine's Day! (even though I dislike this holiday with a passion)

So I haven't really been working out like I said I would. I caught a slight cold and I know you shouldn't work out while sick so I waited, and waited, and WAITED! It wasn't going away. I still have a slight cough/sniffle, but I'm going to start again anyway. I've been losing weight slowly by what I've been eating and I KNOW that I can kick that up immensely with working out.

I seem to be stuck weighing-in on Sundays. It's like an obsession now. February 12, 2012; 208.

I BROKE PAST 210!!!!!

Yes, I'm super excited about that, and looking forward to my next HUGE breakthrough. 200. Isn't that number just the WORST for a female?

Well, I went for a super intensely fast power walk with my mom and dog on Sunday afternoon and it really kicked my butt. I didn't really think of the consequences of not working out for a month before I actually stopped. For that I'm slightly angry at myself, but I'm not so far off the beaten path that I can't find my way back. I'm going to ease back in with walking my dog every other day, which means today! When I'm done writing this. Poor puppy is out of shape as well, it's the least I could do for him.

It's Friday!

I know, this is such an odd day of the week for me to write a blog. I've been meaning to all week, though, so here I am.

I've been drinking AT LEAST 8 cups of water a day, as well as working out at least once.
It snowed non-stop last night so we had a good several inches for me to shovel, complimenting my morning workout.

My WoW time card ran out two days ago! It's difficult since my current guild has just begun raiding on their own, but I'm determined not to play until I get into good habits.

I've been going to sleep around 10pm every night, waking up varies but it's always in the morning! Yesterday it was 8am, today it was 6 or 7. (yea, I can't remember after working all of these muscles)

So my sleep schedule is pretty much set, my water intake is decent, my posture is improving, and to top it all off I FEEL GREAT!

I have decided to turn my Twitter account into a continuation of my blog. I will update throughout the day with what I've been doing or what I am about to do, just to stay on track.

As stated in my last entry, I received many workout utensils. Well, let me tell you what they are.

  • Yoga Mat
  • The Biggest Loser - Boot Camp (dvd)
  • The Biggest Loser - Weight Loss Yoga (dvd)
  • The Biggest Loser - Cardio (dvd), AND
  • The Biggest Loser Family Cookbook!
I'm beyond excited to use these new items to the fullest!

Yesterday I did level 1 yoga, it felt amazing!
Today, I started my day with Level 1 Boot Camp. It was rough but I made it through and it has pushed me to continue the day with shoveling all of this snow!

So with these three DVDs, I plan to space them out. Here is my schedule for a week.

  • Monday - Yoga &/or Cardio
  • Tuesday - Boot Camp
  • Wednesday - Yoga & Cardio
  • Thursday - Boot Camp
  • Friday - Yoga & Cardio
  • Saturday - Boot Camp
  • Sunday - Rest & Church
If there is any concern about my schedule, please either leave me a comment, email me, or contact me on twitter.
Seeing other people lose weight by going to the gym every single day had inspired me to workout every single day, therefor I must try!
Since it is already Friday, I am going to wait until Sunday to start this schedule (seeing as how I did boot camp today and it's friday!) Don't worry thought, I'm still going to work out tomorrow! I still need to test out the Cardio video, anyway.

My Twitter is @missy192 for those of you dedicated enough to follow me.
Or perhaps you just need as much motivation as me, and want to push yourself as hard as I do.

With all that being said! I'll see you all next week.

HOLY COW!!!

Happy New Year! WOW!!! I haven't posted since November of 2011.
Now that just shows you exactly how motivated I've been.

My last entry, I was struggling with a breakup as well as a severe case of depression caused from other stresses. I was more enlightened sitting on my butt, watching T.V. rather than working out or eating properly.

Eating properly in this house is difficult, I'm not going to lie. In an American household, you grow up around all of these wonderful tasting foods and you grow addicted to, well, filth!

I'm still disgusted with how easily I've been caving. I've counted calories long enough to the point where I can stop writing every little thing down. I'm pretty good at guessing how many calories certain items are. I was healthy for such a long period of time that I could taste every little ingredient in a product, that I used to love, and I would be disgusted by it.

It's time to turn a new leaf. It's time to cut back on these habits that I've gained.
I weighed in this last Sunday (January 1st) at 211 pounds. My weight has been fluctuating like crazy since I stopped writing these blogs. I can't keep making these empty promises. I don't even know if I have anybody that reads this other than my family.

I'm limiting myself. One cup of coffee a day, if any at all. Everything else will be straight up water!
No more staying up late drinking. I need to get my sleep schedule back!
I broke my own rule and started to raid again. I've become addicted.

I've become a horrible, self-absorbed little brat. And that needs to change NOW!
I no longer have a huge Nalgene bottle, so I will make more runs for a refill, but there's nothing wrong with that!
I received many workout utensils for Christmas, I plan to put them to great use.

I do not plan to keep track of calories, I haven't for maybe a month now. I just need to keep track of how much water I'm drinking.

Considering I was checked out for the entire holiday season, I'm pretty darn proud of myself for only gaining two pounds! I mean let's face it, Thanksgiving is all about eating until you pop, and in this house Christmas and New Years Eve are exactly the same.

Every six months I usually measure myself, I completely forgot about it in December. Wish me luck on lower numbers!

209!

I'm terribly sorry for this two month hiatus! I kept telling myself I would write as soon as I received a comment, not realizing that I had made a hair-brained mistake by leaving the comments set so they must be approved before I receive an e-mail about them. STUPID! I am here now though, I have still been keeping track of my calories, some days much worse than others but I'm only human.

Thank you to the Anonymous tipper in my last post. It really helped me realize how much I've been doing wrong. The site that I was trying out when I first started this "diet" was pretty much focused on how fast people could lose weight and said that I could get down to my goal weight in a matter of 6 months! I realize now, just how unhealthy that is. This weight has been put on over more than ten years, it shouldn't come off easily.

Last sunday, I weighed in at 209. I wasn't happy but I also wasn't surprised. I have slowly, over the past two months, shed the four pounds I had. Last week I was 209, this week I am the same. So there is something to celebrate, I didn't go back up!

My goal is now going to be 4 pounds bi-weekly! It's definitely do-able. :) At this point, I don't care how quickly I shed these pounds. I just care about getting healthy. I realize in this house it will be difficult, but that's life!

I will see you all in two weeks! Wish me luck!

213!

Wow! It's been about a month and a half since I've updated everybody. I am so sorry! I had a bit of a fight with myself after the breakup, I stopped exercising and started eating whatever I wanted really. I still kept the habit of writing down what I ate along with how many calories it was.. sometimes if I didn't know what the calories were I would just guess. But at least I stayed with counting calories and water intake!

Since six weeks is a tad long for me to tell you all about the calories and water, I'll just say that I gained weight with the excessive eating but then I lost it and now am currently 213. I severely lost my motivation since everything started going downhill.

I am now thinking perhaps a weekly blog is just too much to handle. I will update bi-weekly. I will still keep track of my calories since that's the only thing I've gotten myself used to so far, I will not be posting every single day in a post though.

I've also been questioning if perhaps my weekly goal is too harsh. The closest I've ever gotten was 4 out of the 5 pounds. SO, I ask you as a reader, what do you think should be my bi-weekly goal?

My Pros and Cons lists aren't working to well anymore either, any ideas?
